Well actually I should have started this on the 15th. Now my contractor is going to think he has four more days to finish. We'll say it's the final 30 days to an occupancy certificate!
It's been two years since this house remodel began. I remember when my son (almost 3) was in the hospital in Cincinatti at 10 months of age. I was having the bids and designs faxed to the nurses station (cuz I was in a hurry ya know!). They were all involved in the pro's and con's of each design, it was fun, and given that I was told the remodel would take 90 days...it was exciting to know that we'd be able to start the new year in a new home.
Ok that was in 2006...now it's 2008 LOL so much for that hurry!
I've fired three GC's, gad I think 3 tile guys too, two painters, two plumbers...I sound like Donald Trump don't I?
I broke my wrist doing plaster, lost a baby due to the fall and subsequent surgery, my son's been in the hospital over 4 months of the time, and we're so stupid we're trying for another child (with the generous help of significant drugs) as we speak (I'm told today that I'm "maybe" pregnant...is that like when you say you're sort of pregnant? How much is "almost pregnant" in comparison to pregnant or not? Ok that's another topic I guess).
Oh we adopted a puppy a couple of weeks ago (I sure do love pee on the carpet). Gad anything else? That's right, the mag called and wants to do a holiday shoot in October (which means I do the house up for Christmas in October LOL...I said, "How about a May day shoot instead?)
